A datacenter proxy routes traffic through IP addresses from cloud providers — cheap, fast, but easy for anti-bot systems to detect.
Explanation
Datacenter proxies use IP ranges assigned to AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean, and other cloud providers. Because those ranges are known and published, anti-bot systems (Cloudflare, DataDome, PerimeterX) can fingerprint and flag datacenter traffic. But for use cases where the destination does not care about IP reputation — reading pages, using apps, opening blocked sites — datacenter proxies are the standard choice because they are cheap, fast (gigabit uplinks), and ethically clear (the cloud provider assigned the IP to the proxy operator directly). AnyProxy uses datacenter IPs from six regions. For browser-based unblocking, this is the appropriate architecture. For scraping heavy anti-bot targets, residential proxies win.
