What is a proxy server?A proxy server is a computer that fetches web pages on your behalf and returns them to your browser.What does "proxy" mean?A proxy is a stand-in — a server that acts on your behalf. On the web, it makes requests for pages instead of your device.How is a web proxy different from a VPN?A VPN routes your whole device through a tunnel and needs an app installed. Aggregate request counts only, deleted after 30 days.Does a proxy hide my IP address?The destination site sees the proxy IP, not yours.
