What is a proxy server?A proxy server is a computer that fetches web pages on your behalf and returns them to your browser.Is AnyProxy related to the anyproxy npm package?No. AnyProxy (anyproxy.site) is a free browser-based web proxy. The open-source anyproxy npm package from Alibaba is an unrelated developer tool for intercepting HTTP traffic.What does "proxy" mean?A proxy is a stand-in — a server that acts on your behalf. On the web, it makes requests for pages instead of your device.How is a web proxy different from a VPN?A VPN routes everything your device sends and needs an app. A web proxy like AnyProxy routes one browser tab and needs nothing installed, so apps, calls and other tabs keep their normal connection.

Do you keep logs of the URLs I visit?Yes, AnyProxy can keep records. Running the service can record the sites you open, session IDs, region, country, browser details, referrer and a hashed IP address. It is not a no-logs service.Does a proxy hide my IP address?From the website, yes: it sees the proxy's address. Through AnyProxy Singapore on 15 Oct 2026, ipinfo.io placed us in Singapore on a Google Cloud network, not our home ISP in India. Your ISP and anyone you sign in to still know you.Can my ISP see that I used a web proxy?Yes, your ISP can see you used AnyProxy, and even which region: the server name such as sg.anyproxy.site travels unencrypted in the connection setup. It cannot see which sites you open inside it.Will the network log I used a web proxy?Usually yes. A school, office or hotel network can log that you connected to anyproxy.site and its regional servers. Managed devices with TLS inspection may see the pages too, and your browser history keeps the real site address.What does the destination site see when I use a proxy?It sees AnyProxy's address in the region you chose, plus your browser's own details. On 15 Oct 2026 httpbin.org received our browser's user agent and language but no header carrying the visitor's real IP.

Is AnyProxy safe to use?Safe enough for ordinary browsing if you treat it as what it is: a service that handles your traffic and may keep records. Our own site checks are published; avoid sensitive logins through any web proxy.Is a web proxy legal?In most countries, using a web proxy is legal; it is ordinary internet technology. A few countries restrict VPNs and similar tools, and what you open through a proxy is always governed by local law and network rules.

Does AnyProxy work on my phone?Yes, in the phone's browser: Safari or Chrome on iPhone, Chrome or others on Android, nothing to install. On a 390 x 844 iPhone-sized screen, Wikipedia rendered normally; WhatsApp Web refused phones, as it does everywhere.Can I use AnyProxy on a managed Chromebook?AnyProxy needs no app or extension, so it opens in Chrome on a managed Chromebook unless the administrator has blocked anyproxy.site. Whether you are allowed to use it is set by your school's or employer's rules.Which sites work through AnyProxy?Most reading, video and public pages work; some big sites push back. In our 15 Oct 2026 tests YouTube videos, TikTok, Wikipedia and public Telegram channels worked, while Reddit blocked us and Google search showed a captcha.Can I stream video through AnyProxy?Ordinary web video mostly plays: YouTube videos and TikTok played in our 15 Oct 2026 tests. YouTube Shorts stayed black, Vimeo failed at a Cloudflare check, and paid DRM services like Netflix need logins we do not test.Why do other proxies get stuck on Cloudflare's "Just a moment…" page?Cloudflare ties its check to the site's own address, and a web proxy shows the site under a different address, so the check cannot finish. AnyProxy completes it for you.Can I unblock Netflix with a web proxy?Probably not for watching. netflix.com opened through AnyProxy on 15 Oct 2026 with Singapore prices, but playing needs an account, DRM and an address Netflix does not flag as a proxy. We have not tested playback.Can I use AnyProxy on an iPhone?Yes. Open Safari (or Chrome / Firefox for iOS), go to anyproxy.site, paste a URL. No App Store download needed.

Is AnyProxy free?Yes. Free has no time limit, signup or card, and uses Singapore, Frankfurt and Virginia. Pro costs $4.99 a month or $39 a year and adds Tokyo and Los Angeles, removes ads from our pages and adds priority email support.How fast is AnyProxy?It depends on how far you are from the region. From India on 15 Oct 2026, Wikipedia opened in a median 1.4 s through Singapore, 2.4 s through Frankfurt and 3.7 s through Virginia, against 1.2 s direct.Do I need to install anything to use AnyProxy?No. AnyProxy is a website: open anyproxy.site in Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge, type a site, and it loads in the same tab. No app, extension, account or settings change.
