It depends on the service, and we test rather than guess. On 15 October 2026, through AnyProxy's free regions, a regular YouTube video played to the end through Singapore and Frankfurt (Frankfurt adds an EU cookie screen first), and a TikTok For You video was playing. Three things did not work the same day. YouTube Shorts loaded the feed, likes and comments, but the video area stayed black. Vimeo stopped on a Cloudflare 'Verify to continue' page that failed, and its embed player stayed white at 00:00. Spotify's web player loaded playlists, but pressing play asked for a free Spotify account. Paid streaming services such as Netflix and Disney+ need you to sign in, and we never sign in with real accounts, so we have not tested playback there. Their DRM (Widevine, FairPlay) and their proxy detection make it unlikely: Netflix even has a help page for its 'You seem to be using a VPN or proxy' error. Free and Pro behave the same for video; Pro adds Tokyo and Los Angeles servers and removes ads from our pages, not a higher video quality. For long videos pick the nearest region, because every round trip to a far region adds delay. Each site's page under /unblock/ lists its own dated results.

We ran the same tasks a visitor would, through AnyProxy's Singapore, Frankfurt and Virginia servers, and checked each screenshot by eye. A video counts as played only when its clock moved. Regular YouTube videos and TikTok played; Shorts, Vimeo and logged-out Spotify did not. Results change when sites change, so each test carries its date.
