Can I stream video through AnyProxy?

Short answer

YouTube and most social video work up to 1080p (Pro tier). DRM-locked services (Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video) refuse proxied streams.

In detail

Video streaming through AnyProxy works cleanly for anything that is not DRM-locked. YouTube plays in the browser tab, 720p on the free tier and 1080p on Pro with priority edge routing. Instagram Reels, TikTok, X video, Facebook video, Vimeo, and Dailymotion all render in the proxied tab. Live streams also work. What does not work: any service using Widevine, PlayReady, or FairPlay DRM. The DRM stack verifies the playback environment before releasing decryption keys, and a proxied network path triggers tamper detection. Silent playback failure or drop to low quality is the symptom. Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, HBO Max, Peacock, and every other paid streaming platform work this way — a proxy cannot defeat client-side DRM. If DRM streaming is your goal, use a VPN, not a proxy — the VPN preserves the DRM-trusted environment while changing the network path.
