Vimeo is one of the most-visited sites on earth, with more than 260 million monthly users. That reach is exactly why it gets blocked — not by governments most of the time, but by the network you happen to be on.

If you choose to log in on the real vimeo.com after it loads, Vimeo identifies your account as normal — the proxy hides the request origin, not your identity.
