Brazil rarely blocks sites at the national level but corporate, campus, and hospitality networks filter YouTube, Instagram, and X heavily. 4 web proxies ranked for Brazilian ISPs and networks.
Brazil is not blocking the big platforms right now. In OONI tests from Brazilian networks, 15 July to 15 October 2026, Instagram, X, WhatsApp, TikTok and Facebook each loaded in about 99% of tens of thousands of tests, with no confirmed blocks on any of the 33 sites measured. If a site will not open for you, the filter is almost certainly your school, office or venue network. For that, AnyProxy did best in our same-day test.
Context
How we ranked: national blocking in Brazil has come from court orders and has been short. WhatsApp was blocked on 2-3 May 2016 (OONI measured DNS hijacking on TIM and Oi), and X was suspended by the Supreme Court from late August to 8 October 2024. Since neither is in force, we ranked on the same-day four-task test that applies on any filtered network. Same-day matrix, 15 Oct 2026, four logged-out tasks (YouTube video plays, public Instagram profile opens, TikTok Explore opens, ChatGPT page loads): AnyProxy 3 of 4, Proxyium 2 (plus 1 partial), CroxyProxy 1 (plus 1 partial), 4everProxy 0 (plus 1 profile out of 2 on Instagram). None of these proxies has a server in Brazil today: AnyProxy's free regions are Singapore, Frankfurt and Virginia, with São Paulo listed as coming soon. We did not measure latency from Brazil, so there are no speed numbers here. AnyProxy publishes this list and ranks itself in it, so treat our placement with suspicion. That is why every ranking below points to a dated test or measurement, including the tests AnyProxy lost.

Full breakdown
Most tasks opened in our 15 Oct test, plus 6 of 6 Cloudflare-protected sites on 12 Oct. Brazilian news (g1.globo.com) loaded through Virginia after a short security check. Virginia is the closest free region to Brazil; a São Paulo server is listed as coming soon, not available yet. Free tier shows ads.
TikTok and ChatGPT loaded, YouTube did not play, Instagram failed. Its own picker labels its US server "Slow" and its European one "Fast", so from Brazil you choose between distance and its label.
ChatGPT loaded; YouTube did not play; TikTok CAPTCHA; Instagram failed. Premium ($3.50 a month) lets you choose a server in the USA or Canada, among others; none in South America.
Showed one public Instagram profile of two; failed YouTube, TikTok and ChatGPT. Its server list includes two in the US.
