Best Alternatives to Blockaway

Blockaway is popular in Indonesia and Vietnam but every navigation loads a full-screen ad first. Four cleaner alternatives with the same free access.

Updated 15 Oct 2026·3 alternatives compared
TL;DR

BlockAway behaves like a second front door to CroxyProxy: the same toolbar on proxied pages, the same headers, and its Premium button goes to CroxyProxy's $3.50 Patreon. On 15 October 2026 it opened a Wikipedia article but a YouTube video sat at 0:00 behind an EU consent screen; on 12 October all six Cloudflare-protected sites failed. AnyProxy publishes this page and sells a web proxy, so weigh our view accordingly.

Why users leave BlockAway

Pain points that drive the search

Same engine as CroxyProxy: same Home / Reflect4 / Permalink bar over proxied pages and identical test results.
All six Cloudflare-protected test sites ended at "Unable to connect to the website" (12 Oct 2026).
YouTube exited through Poland and showed the EU consent screen; the player stayed at 0:00 after 25 s (15 Oct 2026).
Homepage sends HSTS max-age=0 first, turning HTTPS-only enforcement off (5 Oct 2026).
Premium is sold as CroxyProxy Premium on Patreon, not as a separate BlockAway service.

Per-alternative rationale

Why each alternative earned its rank

1

AnyProxy

Our pick

A separate engine: opened the six Cloudflare-protected sites BlockAway could not (12 Oct 2026) and played the YouTube video via Singapore (15 Oct). Lets you pick a server in Asia, Europe or the US. Gaps: through Frankfurt the same YouTube consent screen appeared and one run did not start; Reddit and Google search blocked it. AnyProxy publishes this page.

Best forBlockAway users who want a different engine, not the same one under another name.
Try AnyProxy
2

Proxyium

Different operator with tidier homepage headers (HSTS for a year, no cookies on landing), but the same engine and the same results: Wikipedia fine, YouTube stuck at 0:00 behind the EU consent screen, Cloudflare sites failed.

Best forUsers who only browse simple pages and want a clean free homepage.

FAQ

BlockAway alternative questions

Are BlockAway and CroxyProxy the same?
They appear to be run together. On 5 October 2026 both homepages sent identical headers and scripts, and BlockAway's Premium button linked to patreon.com/croxyproxy. On 15 October both put the same toolbar over proxied pages.
Why did YouTube ask for cookie consent through BlockAway?
Its default server exited through Poland, so YouTube showed its EU "Before you continue" screen. The video stayed at 0:00 in our 25-second run. AnyProxy's Frankfurt server shows the same screen; its Singapore server did not.
Does AnyProxy have an Indonesian version?
Yes. AnyProxy has an Indonesian-language section at anyproxy.site/id/. Its nearest free server for Indonesia is Singapore.
Is AnyProxy free?
Yes. AnyProxy is free with three regions (Singapore, Frankfurt, Virginia); Pro is $4.99 a month or $39 a year and removes ads on our own pages and adds Tokyo and Los Angeles.
